FOUR cadets from the 1391 Romsey Squadron scooped four gold medals at the weekend's swimming championships.

The quartet from the squadron competed at the Hampshire Air Cadet County Swimming Championships and won a total of 11 medals; four golds, five silvers and two bronzes.

Corporal David Bradbury claimed the senior boys breaststroke title as well as a silver in the butterfly and a bronze in the individual medley relay.

In the junior girl’s class, cadet Isabeau Hockey walked away with three silver medals after coming second in her butterfly, freestyle and individual medley races.

Sergeant Noah Whalvin and Cadet Nathan Lewis both competed in the junior boy’s class and claimed a haul of medals of all colours.

Sgt Whalvin said: "We have all really enjoyed competing today and taking home so many medals has been great for all of us."

All four cadets have been called into the Wing side, competing for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight against other Air Cadet teams from across the South West.
