HAMPSHIRE police have launched an appeal to identify a man who terrorised staff in a Southampton convenience store during an armed robbery.

Approximately £200 was stolen from a till at the One Stop shop in Butts Road, Sholing, when a man entered the store with a long barrelled rifle demanding money.

The man has been described by police as being white, of slim build and was wearing a black jumper with his hood up.

He has also been described as wearing black joggers with a white, round logo or motif on the right thigh, as well as having black and white Adidas trainers with white socks.

The robbery happened at 6.50pm on Sunday, October 27, and police officers are hoping someone recognises the emblem seen on the man’s right thigh of his black trousers or joggers.

Armed response officers and a dog unit were deployed to the scene, however no one was located.

No one was injured during the robbery.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police added: "If you live nearby and have private CCTV, or where driving through and have dash cam footage, please call us on 101 and quote 44190385591."
