A TEST Valley company is celebrating after scooping a business award this week.

Clearview Aerials, based in Ashton Cross, Wellow, beat 30 other companies in the New Forest District Council Award for Customer Care category, as part of the New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards.

The cable provider, which has been running since 2001, were crowned the winners at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, on Thursday, November 28.

Director at Clearview Aerials, Chris Abell-Parker, said: "We are still bouncing off the walls after winning the award and we are really proud.

"We were up against a lot of good companies and it is a very prestigious award that everyone wants to win.

"I think it was the first time anyone from Romsey has won the award and we were put forward by someone in a particular network group; it was the first time we won as well.

"We are just coming up to 18,000 customers who we have served and there are three of us in the team, so we are a small company that is Trading Standards Approved."

The 52-year-old added: "We deal with everyone from rockstars and royalty, down to your average person.

"We deal with our customers very well and when I was looking at the other companies during the awards evening I was thinking 'you don't do what we do in terms of dealing with the general public'.

"The judges really liked our enthusiasm and integrity we have, as well as the passion for what we do and our interest for finding solutions for people."

The aerial company specialise in installing "WiFi, cameras, alarm systems", according to Chris.

He said: "What is important to me is by the time we finish our job I want the most incompetent person with technology to be able to use the equipment we have fitted."

The event was hosted by New Forest Business Partnership.
