BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to build on their excellent 3-2 home victory over Bideford AFC.

It was an excellent way for the Dragons to erase their previous outing which had resulted in a 8-0 loss away at Southern League Division One South leaders Frome Town.

This Saturday, Town are on their travels again to Worcestershire to take on Evesham United and face a side who are currently fifth in the table right in the thick of the play-off race.

Evesham are very good at home at their Cheltenham Road ground, but not so on the road, where they have picked up just a point from their last three games, which was against Bideford AFC at the beginning of December.

Town are without the unavailable Reece Rusher for the game at Evesham, but his place in the squad is taken by Claudio Herbert.

Basingstoke boss Dan Browlie said: “I was delighted with Bideford win as they boys could have hid after the loss at Frome, but they did not. I felt the first half performance was the best by the team since I took charge. We know Saturday will not be easy, but we will go there with nothing to fear and see if we can get something out of the game.”
