A woman from Lithuania who died by suicide struggled with anxiety, including worries over Brexit.

Migle Faulkner, 31, battled mental health issues for a number of years, an inquest heard. She was found hanging at her Botley home on July 26.

Her husband Stephen, who found the body, said his wife felt "she wasn't wanted" by the British population and she was worried about the future. He also described a traumatic event in her childhood, as well as other anxieties she had.

Mr Faulkner said: "When she was five years old, Migle's father killed himself.

"Most of the time, she was happy but she would have lows that were very serious. It would come on and get worse in a downward spiral.

"I'd learned to talk her through it, I had to break it all down and help her through each bit of the problem. And in between, she was very happy and had a lot to live for.

"A lot of the time it was her believing she was a burden, on me, her family – everyone. She would always think that she would lose me."

After the death, Mr Faulkner discovered his wife had taken his car after drinking and crashed into the back of another motorist.

He added: "She didn't tell me, and was holding on to that anxiety.

"I really do miss her and it hurts. Reality is starting to kick in. She was awesome, lovely and beautiful. We had a really loving, very happy relationship."

Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson concluded as death by suicide.
