GOLD, jewellery and air rifles were targeted from a set of properties in Hampshire during a 24-hour burglary spate.

Police have launched a probe into several burglaries which took place in North Baddesley, Chilworth and Chandler's Ford on and around Friday December 13.

Multiple items of high value were taken and officers have launched an investigation and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The first incident took place at a house on Rownhams Lane, North Baddesley between 9:15am and 3:45pm on December 13, where three air rifles, a pocket watch and significant amounts of jewellery were taken.

Also on Rownhams Lane, a set of ceremonial knives, a small coin collection and a gold watch were stolen from a property between 12:45pm and 3:30pm on the same day.

Jewellery was once again taken in another burglary which occurred in Chilworth on December 13.

Finally, officers are also looking into an incident in which a property in Danebury Gardens, Chandler's Ford was burgled sometime between Sunday December 8 and Saturday December 14.

Jewellery and money were again amongst the items that were targeted.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "There have been several Burglaries in the North Baddesley, Chilworth and Chandlers Ford area. Always stay vigilant and remember to safeguard your premises and property. Lock all windows and doors, remembering to double lock UPVC doors and keep all keys out of reach and sight. Remove valuables from view of ground floor windows and store any high value items such as jewellery or passports in a properly secured safe or bank vault."
