A 38-year-old man has died after he was stuck by a car in a fail-to-stop collision last night in Andover.

The fatal crash took place on Charlton Road, Andover at around 6.40pm last night.

Despite the paramedics efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene and the next of kin were shortly informed and supported by specialist officers.

Police have now launched an investigation and are apealing for witnesses of the crash that took place on December 23.

Inspector Steve Wakeford, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This is a very serious incident and we urgently need to speak with the driver involved.

“We have recovered vehicle debris from the scene and our investigations are underway. I would urge the driver to contact us as soon as possible.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was in Charlton Road and can assist us with our enquiries.”
