ODIHAM ice hockey ace Emily Harris is the leading goalscorer for the Great Britain under-18 in the World Championship Division One currently being held in Katowice, Poland.

Harris scored the first two goals for her country in their opening game of the tournament as GB led China 2-0.

However, the game finished in heartbreak as the Chinese won 3-2 in overtime.

The following day, GB beat Korea 1-0 as Harris scored the winner with only 84 seconds left in the contest.

For the Odiham forward it was her third goal of the tournament, while netminder Ella Howard secured a 26-shot shutout.

In GB's third game they went down to Norway's under-18s 7-1.

Their only goal of the game came in the first period and was scored by Lucy Beal.

Norway led 3-1 after the first period and then added another four to take the win.

Game number four for GB saw them shut-out by Austria as they lost 3-0.

Two late third-period goals proved crucial for GB as Ella Howard was an inspiration in the GB goal, making 42 saves, while GB had some good chances at the other end with Chloe Headland and Harris in particular going close.

Their final game is this evening against Poland.
