BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to build on last Saturday’s excellent 2-0 win at Barnstaple, with a home game against AFC Totton in the Southern League Division One South.
The visitors will make a short trip to Winchester City to take on the Dragons who are directly below them in the table.
A victory for Town would see them move above their Hampshire rivals and continue their climb away from the drop zone.
When these sides met back in September it ended 0-0 which ironically was Town’s last clean before the win at Barnstaple.
The visiting Stags come into the game unbeaten in their last three outings, two of which have ended 0-0.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Dan Brownlie said: “We can take a lot of positives from last Saturday’s game. The result was critical, but the performance and the application of the players was what I thought was more pleasing. We have not played well at home this season so we want to build on Saturday’s win.”
Goalkeeper Freddie Gee is a injury doubt, so Aaron Watkins is set to return.
On Tuesday night, Town were due to play league leaders Thatcham Town, but the game was postponed.
