A FLOOD warning has been issued for Test Valley following days of heavy winds and rain which battered the country.

River levels are continuing to rise in the River Test towards Romsey, as well as all channels throughout the town.

A huge 25mm of rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours at Romsey.

A warning has been issued for today and tomorrow, that between nine and 14mm of rain is forecast.

According to the gov.uk website, this rainfall on Thursday and Friday will keep river levels high over the next few days and water levels in all channels through Romsey and Testwood will remain high.

Dry weather is forecast for the following few days.

Any blockages in the river should be reported to gov.uk's incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60.
