DRIVERS on a major motorway are being advised to "slow down" due to heavy fog patches.
Highways England tweeted the warning at around 10:54am this morning.
The government-owned agency said the fog is affecting visibility on the M62, at junction 22 (Denshaw), in both directions.
A picture from one of the motorway cameras shows a thick covering of fog.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: "We have message signs set advising drivers to slow down and traffic officers are patrolling the area."
