A YOUNG woman from a village near Andover as been banned from the road for drink driving.
Harriet Michelle Carver, 24, was stopped by officers on the A30 whilst driving a 55-reg BMW on January 20.
Magistrates in Basingstoke heard that Carver, of Martins Lane, Chilbolton had an alcohol reading of 61 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35. She pleaded guilty.
The court fined her £375 with a £37 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The disqualification was for 17 months. The ban will be cut by 17 weeks if Carver passes an approved course by January 13 2021.
