I WROTE a few years ago about how proud we should all be with the way that the Southampton parks department keep up the excellent standard of the city parks year after year, especially in the spring with the bulb beds, azaleas, camellias and rhododendrons and in the summer with the rose beds.
But I must also compliment them on the work they are doing at the moment by trimming the trees tidying up foliage, planting winter flowers and keeping the grass in pristine condition, despite the large amount of rain we've had this winter.
