A SCHOOL has celebrated the leap year babies with a member of staff turning 15 and a pupil turning two.
Executive Leader of the Gateway Multi-Academy Trust, Jonathan de Sausmarez of the Romsey School and Lara, a Year 3 pupil at member school, Oakfield Primary, in Totton both celebrate their birthdays on February 29.
They marked the occasion at Oakfield with cake, birthday balloons and of course a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday'.
Jonathan, who has been in the teaching profession for 37 years, also shared his birthday celebrations with colleagues at The Romsey School.
He said that he is enjoying working more than ever despite the many challenges.
He puts this down to "working with exceptional colleagues who give so much professionalism, care and good humour that it makes working, rewarding and most importantly, fun".
