THE body of a man was found washed up on the shore at Netley, near Southampton, an inquest heard.
Peter Ian Charles Buckingham was found by builders at the water's edge on Victoria Road on March 9.
The workmen were at the nearby Crest Nicholson building site.
Mr Buckingham, 51, of Gainsborough Hill, Henley on Thames, was identified by PC Michael Mulvey through photographic identification.
A post mortem by consultant pathologist Jeffery Theaker at Southampton General Hospital on March 17 said the cause of death was a traumatic chest injury consistent with a fall.
Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson adjourned the inquest until July 29.
