EVERY year, Winchester Rotary, with the help of the Inner Wheel Club of Winchester, organise a tea party for senior citizens from around the district.
This year’s event took place at Itchen Abbas and Avington Village Hall.
Almost 50 guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon, which included a delicious tea, music from the 1960s by Amanda Parsons, bingo, a table quiz and a raffle.
Winchester Mayor Cllr Eleanor Bell and her husband Alex were there and soon on the dance floor with guests dancing to the tunes of days gone by.
This will be the last event of its kind for the foreseeable future as restrictions on public gatherings and concerns about the virus spreading among elderly people means that OAPs are being encouraged by the Government to self isolate for at least 12 weeks.
