A business in Southampton has donated personal protective equipment to Southampton General Hospital.

The team from Euro Car Parts have donated the hospital staff with gloves and seat covers, in order to help the key worker protect themselves against the spread of the coronavirus.

After each making a financial contribution to the cause, the team at Euro Car Parts put together a package including 1,000 pairs of gloves and 800 seat covers.

The kind gesture was made after a frontline nurse phoned the branch asking for support with the provision of PPE and the Euro Car Parts team acted quickly and were able to organise the donation in just one day.

William Olverson, Branch Manager at Euro Car Parts Southampton, said : "Everyone at the branch recognises the amazing work carried out by frontline medics, and we hope that by supporting a local hospital we are able to play a small part in helping the NHS."
