A SOUTHAMPTON shop and taxi firm have teamed up to offer home delivery services throughout the city.
Nisa Local Maybush and Door 2 Door taxis are now delivering food and home essentials to residents across the SO14, SO15, SO16 and SO17 postcode areas.
The owners of the shop decided to close to protect staff and customers at the start of the pandemic, but are now offering the safer options of home delivery or click and collect.
Orders, including at least £10 worth of essential items, can be made on the store's Facebook page before 10pm for next day delivery.
The delivery fee of £4 will go direct to drivers.
A spokesperson for the family run business said: "We felt this was the most responsible way to operate during the coronavirus outbreak. As a result of this, customers will not have to put themselves or others at risk by waiting in queues or being in close contact with others. In addition to this, customers will know exactly what is available as the product list is updated daily."
There are plans to reopen Nisa Local Maybush soon.
