TEN people in Hampshire have died in the last 24 hours after testing positive for coronavirus.
It comes after two days of no new deaths being reported in the region, according to figures released by the NHS.
But the death toll has risen by ten since yesterday, up from 512 deaths to 522 in total.
The statistics cover University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
At UHS, 158 people have lost their lives after becoming infected by the virus, up by two in the last 24 hours.
While the death toll at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust stands at 143, a rise of three since Tuesday.
At Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 205 people have died, a rise of five.
A total of 16 people have died at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, up by one.
