A BUSINESS based at a Romsey school has treated children to a series of sport activities in a bid to keep them fit and healthy amid coronavirus.

Coaches and sport leaders from Personal Best Education, located at Mountbatten School, Whitenap Lane, have been supporting children of key workers with cycle safety training, archery, Easter egg hunts.

The Personal Best team even donated Easter activity packs full of treats and study activities to Southampton General Hospital children’s ward in a bid to keep their spirits up.

A spokesperson from Mountbatten School said: "Personal Best Education have a wonderful team of coaches and sports leaders, who have been supporting both the school, and local primary school’s with weekly childcare provision from the start of the lockdown period.

"This support ensures vulnerable children, and those of key workers are not only given the very best support for their mental and physical well-being, but their parents have the peace of mind they need to go about their daily work during this challenging period."

The activities have been in place since March 23.
