FIREFIGHTERS rushed to extinguish an out of control bonfire that erupted in a Test Valley village yesterday.
Crews from Eastleigh, Redbridge and Fareham were alerted to the large fire at 2.26pm in Castle Lane, North Baddesley.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A bonfire in woodlands had become out of control and measured 50m x 50m.
"The fire was extinguished using one jet, two hose reels, two knapsacks and four beaters."
The stop message came in at 17:57.
