A YOUTH MP for Hampshire will be live streaming for 12 hours on Youtube later this month, raising money for charities during the coronavirus crisis.

Dmitrijs Meiksans, the Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) for North West Hampshire, has announced he will be undertaking a 12 hour YouTube livestream in aid of charities and youth organisations during the Coronavirus.

The 14-year-old Youth MP , will be live-streaming from 8am until 8pm on June 20 on YouTube to fundraise for five different charities, including: British Youth Council, Hampshire Youth Parliament, Local Test Valley charity Unity, Andover Trees United and DMK Worldwide, Dmitrijs’ very own youth organisation, which will receive a small percentage of the profits.

Dmitrijs has described the livestream as his "way of giving back" during these uncertain times.

He said" “I guess this is my way of giving back to the amazing organisations and charities that I am proud to be a part of. During these turbulent times, it is hard for charities and organisations to survive so I wanted to do something for them.”

The livestream will feature people from various industries and backgrounds, from MP's to musicians, looking at the work they are doing and what impact COVID has had on them.

This will focus on positivity and how we can stay healthy both physically and mentally, with the aim to bring a bit of joy to people watching.
