A TEST Valley prep school has welcomed back children from all year groups.

Pupils were reunited with friends and teachers at Embley's Prep School, Embley Park, as they returned for the rest of the summer term last week.

This comes after children and staff began returning to Embley from the start of June, which saw Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils come back to the classroom.

Last week, children from Years 2 to 5 also returned to school full time.

Headteacher at Embley, Mr Canning, said: "It’s been such a delight to see so many children back in school once again.

"The grounds have been full of chatter and laughter as our Embley family has been reunited once more.

"The children are behaving very responsibly as they go about their daily school routines in their social distancing bubbles and lessons have been focused on activities that help the children enjoy one another’s company once again."

Hampshire Chronicle:

Children in Year 10 and 12 are also spending time at the school.

Until children from all year groups return to school, Embley will continue to offer its remote learning programme which has been running since lockdown began.
