A CANCER support centre in Romsey will be reopening next week.

Jane Scarth House at 37a The Hundred is reopening from Wednesday August 5 and will be open from 10am to 4.30pm on weekdays.

Bridget Brook, Chair of Trustees, said: "We are very much looking forward to opening our doors once again and welcoming people back into the Centre.

"Befriending and counselling will recommence in person at the centre. There will be a welcome area outside the front door, where clients will be greeted, before entering the centre.

"We recommend clients telephone first on 01794 830374 to arrange an appointment. Alternatively, we will make every effort to assist, or arrange a suitable convenient time.

"We are being very careful with social distancing and therefore respectfully ask clients to attend alone, where this is possible."

Befriending and counselling will also continue to be provided by telephone or video call, as will other services, Meditation and Art for Wellbeing.

Plans and activities will be reviewed regularly in the light of current government advice.

Jane Scarth House services are available free of charge to people affected by cancer, including family and carers.

Anyone who is interested in the services can call or email info@janescarthhouse.co.uk to receive further details.
