A SIGNAL box in a market town is set to reopen this weekend.

The Romsey Signal Box, Brick Lane, will be open to visitors on Sunday, September 6.

Other dates the museum will be open are on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20.

Visitors must pre-book a slot by ringing 07743 942576 or email info@romseysignalbox.org.uk.

The Romsey Signal Box is a building from around 1865 and a working museum, giving a look into the life of a railway signalman.

Visitors of all ages can get a “hands on” experience by operating points, clearing signals and ringing bells to control a simulation of trains passing through Romsey, according to the museum's website.
