THIRTY-ONE people tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend, latest figures show.
Data released by the government shows 22 people tested positive for the virus on Saturday, and nine on Sunday.
In Southampton, seven people returned positive tests, meaning 1,054 people have tested positive over the course of the pandemic, giving an infection rate of 417.4 per 100,000 people.
In East Hampshire, five people tested positive, making 559 in total and giving an infection rate of 457.
Three people had confirmed cases in Winchester, taking the total to 528 and giving an infection rate of 422.9 per 100,000.
Eastleigh returned two positive cases, meaning 474 people have tested positive over the course of the pandemic, a rate of 354.8.
In the New Forest, eight people tested positive, 556 since the start of the pandemic, a rate of 308.7.
One person tested positive in Gosport, three in Fareham and two in Portsmouth.
As of tomorrow, the ‘rule of six’ comes into play, meaning people can only socialise in groups of six by law.
