Police are appealing for information following reports of cats being targeted in the Amesbury area.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said: "Several cats in the Maple Way area of Amesbury have been attacked overnight with their fur being shaved or sticky tape, which has been red and white, wrapped around them, usually their necks.
"These acts are not only harmful to the animals but also distressing to their owners and we urge them to please stop.
"Anyone with any information that could lead to the offender being identified is asked to call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200086078."
