CHILDREN at Romsey Primary School and Nursery, Mercer Way, honoured fallen soldiers from World War One this week with works of art.
Year 6 pupils created their masterpieces on Wednesday to mark Remembrance Day, which commemorates armed forces members who died in the line of duty and is observed in Commonwealth member states.
Year 6 teacher, Jaie Codling, said: "I think throughout the school a few classes did this and Year 6 was the first to finish.
"We had discussions about Remembrance Day and a lot of children talked about their family members who had experienced war and what Remembrance Day means to us.
"Year 6 is a very artistic class so we decided we would commemorate Remembrance Day this way.
"They got to choose the pictures themselves for their work, which included poppies or a soldier."
