A CAR has been destroyed in a "potential arson" attack this morning.
Firefighters raced to Grosvenor Road, Southampton after a car burst into flames.
Burnt beyond recognition, the vehicle that was 90 per cent destroyed by fire is believed to have been a MINI Cooper, according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS).
One crew from St Mary's Fire Station were on the scene after receiving an emergency call at around 5.15am today.
Police also attended and a joint investigation has been launched into a "potential arson" attack, said a spokesperson for HFRS.
No one had been driving the car at the time and no injuries were reported.
The stop message came in at 6.32am.
