A WOMAN from Sheffield has been arrested for drug offences after police smelt cannabis coming from a car in Test Valley.
A 36-year-old woman and two people in an Audi had stopped in a layby on the A3057 at Timsbury, where police discovered a bag of white powder in her pocket following a successful stop and search.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs after she was searched at around 11pm on Friday (February 19).
She has now been issued with a community resolution.
A community resolution can be "a simple apology, an offer of compensation, or attending an appropriate awareness course", according to Hampshire police.
The woman was not given a coronavirus fine, the force confirmed.
Officers stopped drivers that evening as part of its rural crime initiative - Werewolf.
In a Facebook post, Test Valley Cops also praised their new colleague PC Foley for her first drug offences arrest "only on her second day".
