MORE than 170 new positive cases have been recorded in Hampshire over the last 24 hours.
Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website - show that, as of 4pm today, 179 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.
This brings the county's total to 87,363 cases since the start of the pandemic - around 6.34 per cent of Hampshire's population.
Yesterday, there were 213 new cases recorded.
Below are the confirmed cases by local authority in the 24 hours on February 23:
- Basingstoke and Deane: 12 (7,745 in total since start of pandemic)
- East Hampshire: 5 (4,664)
- Eastleigh: 16 (5,401)
- Fareham: 12 (4,954)
- Gosport: 11 (3,663)
- Hart: 9 (4,114)
- Havant: 11 (6,736)
- New Forest: 13 (5,844)
- Portsmouth: 22 (13,581)
- Rushmoor: 12 (7,521)
- Southampton: 39 (13,381)
- Test Valley: 10 (5,060)
- Winchester: 7 (4,699)
