A FLAT was evacuated last night after a tumble dryer caught fire.
The blaze broke out in a property at Tadburn Green, Romsey, just after 10.30pm.
Two appliances from Romsey fire station rushed to the scene.
Hants Fire Control tweeted: "Romsey attended a property in Tadburn Green to deal with a small fire involving a tumble dryer.
"Dryer was removed to the open and made safe by crews."
Romsey Fire Station added: "Both appliances were sent to a flat fire.
"Thankfully nobody was hurt and everybody was out of the property upon arrival.
"Post-fire community safety given to occupier and neighbours."
