TWO women have been arrested for drug offences after police stopped and searched a vehicle this morning.
In the early hours of this morning, police stopped a black Vauxhall that was travelling along Eling Lane, Totton.
The vehicle was allegedly shown as having no insurance and was followed to a nearby petrol station.
There, police spoke to the two occupants and searched the car.
They claimed a quantity of Class A drugs was found, as well as drug-related paraphernalia and cash.
The items were seized as well as the car for having no insurance.
Two women have now been arrested for drug offences.
A 39-year-old woman from Dibden was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
A 34-year-old woman from Dibden was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place.
Police are investigating and both women remain in custody.
