THE six Test Valley areas that are nearly Covid-free have been revealed in new Government data.

A map on the coronavirus dashboard, in the week to February 27, shows the locations across the borough with fewer than three cases.

This means the data for these areas is suppressed to protect individuals' privacy.

The places with fewer than three cases, when the latest data was available, were:

  • Romsey Town
  • Romsey Cupernham and Halterworth
  • Valley Park
  • Nether Wallop, King's Somborne and Dunbridge
  • Chilbolton, Clatford and Barton Stacey
  • Andover South

Clatford and Barton Stacey and Romsey Cupernham and Halterworth were the only locations to be classified as suppressed since February 20.

Cases continued to fall across most of the borough, which has a below-average infection rate compared to the UK average, but there were still three areas where coronavirus was growing up to February 27.

These were Andover London Road and East Anton, Abbotswood and West Wellow and North Baddesley and Braishfield.

Andover London Road and East Anton had the highest infection rate with 22 cases - up by one on the previous week - and a weekly rolling rate of 129.7 cases per 100,000 people.

The interactive map breaks down infections in England into small areas with a population of around 7,200 called Super Middle Output Areas (MSOAs).

For each MSOA, the map shows the number of cases in the past week, increases or decreases compared to the week before and the rate of cases per 100,000 people.
