EMERGENCY services rushed to help a pensioner who was found unconscious on the floor of a property in Test Valley.

Firefighters from Romsey were alerted to the incident after a woman in her eighties was discovered behind a closed door in Jermyns Lane, Ampfield.

Firefighters helped the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) crew access the woman who could not move, according to a tweet from Romsey Fire Station.

However, she was conscious and alert when the Romsey crew arrived after being called at 2.08pm on Friday (March 5).

The stop message came in at 2.43pm.
