WITH lockdown restrictions set to ease next week, many of us are wondering what we will be allowed to do again.

Under step one of Boris Johnson's roadmap out of lockdown, from March 29 people will be allowed to meet outdoors in groups of six - or as two households, whichever is greater.

This includes private gardens.

This means you'll be able to get together with your loved ones in time for Easter.

In fact, in April we will be allowed to do lots of things again for the first time in months.

That's because from April 12, even more restrictions will be eased.

Here are at least 8 things more relaxed rules will allow us to enjoy:

1- Beer gardens

From April 12, pubs and restaurants can reopen, but will only be serving food or drink outdoors.

Customers will be happy to know they don't need a substantial meal with their booze and there will be no curfew, due to the confusion both rules previously caused.

Punters will have to order from their table and stay seated - enabling social distancing.

2 - Sport

If you fancy meeting up with your friends for some exercise, outdoor sports facilities, such as tennis and basketball courts and golf courses, will be allowed to reopen from March 29.

Footy fans will be pleased to hear grassroots football will be able to resume.

Swimmers should be able to dive back into their sport, because swimming pools will reopen later in the month, too.

Outdoor pools will come first on March 29, before leisure centre pools, hopefully from April 12.

3 - Indoor leisure

From April 12, indoor leisure facilities, such as gyms and spas, will open their doors to customers once again.

However, this doesn't include saunas and steam rooms, which are due to open in step three - no earlier than May 17.

4 - Non-essential shops

Non-essential retail, personal care businesses, such as hairdressers, salons and close contact services, will reopen from April 12.

These should only be visited alone or with household groups.

5 - Outdoor attractions

Most outdoor places and attractions can reopen from April 12.

This includes zoos, theme parks, drive-in cinemas and drive-in performances events.

The rules on social contact outdoors will still apply.

6 - Overnight stays

From April 12, overnight stays will be allowed away from home in this country, including self-contained accommodation.

This is defined as accommodation that does not share bathrooms, entrances and exits, catering or sleeping facilities.

They must be used by members of the same household.

7 - Childcare

All children will be able to access any outdoor childcare and supervised activities from March 29, according to the Government's plan.

Parent and child groups can also take place outdoors with a limit of 15 attendees.

Children under five-years-old don't count towards the attendee limit.

The Government's document stresses children will still only be able to attend indoor childcare or supervised activities if it allows "parents or carers to work, seek work, attend education, seek medical attention or attend a support group".

8 - Weddings

Weddings and receptions can go ahead with up to 15 attendees in places that are allowed to open.

Although not something to look forward to, bereavements will again become easier for families, as wakes will be allowed with 15 people and funerals can be held with up to 30 people - once again enabling people to say proper goodbyes with some loved ones in attendance.

What else will reopen from April 12?

  • Public buildings, such as libraries and community centres
  • Pilots of large events will begin
  • Driving tests can resume
