A WOMAN charged with murdering a baby found dead in woodlands near Southampton has today appeared in court.
Silipa Keresi, from Pylewell Road, Hythe, is accused of murdering a baby boy.
She was previously arrested in March 2020 after a dog walker found the body of a recently-born baby in woodland near Shore Road, Hythe on March 5.
The 37-year-old stood before Southampton Magistrates' Court this morning for an initial hearing.
She entered no plea and the case was sent straight up to crown court by district Judge Peter Greenfield.
She is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, March 31.
A spokeswoman for the court confirmed that the deceased was called Maliki Keresi.
