THE 11 Test Valley areas that are nearly Covid-free have been revealed in new Government data.

A map on the Government coronavirus dashboard, in the week to March 30, shows the locations across the borough with fewer than three cases.

This means the data for these areas is suppressed to protect individuals' privacy.

The places with fewer than three cases are:

  • Romsey Town
  • Romsey Cupernham & Halterworth
  • Abbotswood & West Wellow
  • North Baddesley & Braishfield
  • Valley Park
  • Nether Wallop, King's Somborne & Dunbridge
  • Over Wallop & Shipton Bellinger
  • Chilbolton, Clatford & Barton Stacey
  • Andover South
  • Andover Central
  • Andover Charlton & Bourne Valley

The interactive map breaks down infections in England into small areas with a population of around 7,200 called Super Middle Output Areas (MSOAs).

For each MSOA, the map shows the number of cases in the past week, increases or decreases compared to the week before and the rate of cases per 100,000 people.

In the seven days to March 30, cases have fallen in Test Valley with 33 infections recorded - down by 11 on the previous week.

The borough has a weekly rolling rate of 26.2 cases per 100,000 people.

This means Test Valley has a below average case rate compared to the UK average.

However, there are still three areas where Covid cases are rising.

They are:

  • Chilworth, Nursling & Rownhams
  • Andover West
  • Andover Newbury Road
