Fire engine.
ROMSEY firefighters rushed to a large hay bale fire in town yesterday (April 20).
At 8.59am, the crew was called to Yokesford Hill to extinguish a fire that started in a field next to a public footpath.
Buckets of water were thrown onto the fire to stop it from spiralling out of control.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said police were told about the fire, because the "cause was doubtful".
The stop message came in at 9.41am.
