TWO men are due to stand trial following a “knife fight” in Southampton city centre.
Police received eight emergency calls reporting youths fighting with knives at Guildhall Square.
Two people were arrested following the incident on April 29 year and both charged with affray and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
James Stevenson-Mackie, aged 18, of James Weld Close, Southampton has pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place but not guilty to affray.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old male from Southampton, and who cannot be named for legal reasons, has denied both charges.
They will stand trial at Southampton Crown Court and are next due to appear on June 4 this year.
