A FLYTIPPER thought he was saving some money when he dumped trash near Romsey.
But Carl Watts was tracked down by Test Valley Borough Council and has been hit with penalties of more than £1,000.
Watts, 28, of Palm Road, Coxford, Southampton, left a caravan and several black bin bags containing food waste, plastic and general rubbish on land at Broadlands Estate on or before January 7 2020, a court heard.
He pleaded guilty and magistrates in Basingstoke fined him £480 with a £48 victim surcharge and told him to pay prosecution costs of £838.50.
