AFTER spending the last few months inside our homes, it can be hard to remember what normal life feels like.

Thankfully, on Monday (May 17) lockdown restriction will be eased even further and there will be plenty of things for couples to do.

Are you and your date fans of gin? Then take a trip to learn about the rare production processes that go into the craft of making Bombay Sapphire gin.

Is your date the type obsessed with visiting picture perfect places? Why not visit a National Trust garden and wonder round the beautiful flowers.  The Vyne and Mottisfont have to be some of our favourite places, but make sure you bring your camera.

Spinnaker Tower

If you or your partner are afraid of heights this is not one for you. Spinnaker Tower stands at 170 metres tall, offering breath-taking 23 mile views over Portsmouth Harbour, the city, the Solent, the South Downs and the Isle of Wight.

The iconic destination boasts a high speed lift and three sky-high viewing decks and you can even walk across the thrilling glass ‘Sky Walk’ at 100 metres above sea level.

Highclere Castle

Whether you are a fan of Downton Abbey or not this is still an amazing day out.

From late daffodils to the blossom of cherry trees and carpets of cowslips, the gardens are full of promise in spring. You can join a guided tour around the castle to learn all about how Downton Abbey is filmed.

It is the perfect luxurious setting for a coffee and a cake or visit Luis’ Cocktail Bar for a gin cocktail.

Crabbing

Fancy a laid back date and short on cash? Crabbing is a great go to for the adventurous types. All you need is a pack of bacon, two crabbing lines and a bucket all of which will set you back less than £5. Why not pack a picnic too, because you can’t get much more romantic than looking out over the water on a date.

Try Eling Tide Mill, Emsworth or Hamble river for great guaranteed crabbing.

Mini golf

Hampshire is home to several mini golf courses, including a Tropical Tidal Bay themed course in Basingstoke and a Dinosaur themed course in Southampton.
