POLICE are on the hunt for two suspects after designer watches were stolen from two men.

It is believed a man's Rolex was taken after he was approached by a woman with a clipboard outside Stoneham Golf Course, Southampton.

After asking him to sign her petition, she embraced him and the victim's watch was stolen from his wrist on Wednesday, May 19, at around 3pm.

The force was then alerted yesterday (May 25) at 10.20am when another victim was approached by a woman. She asked him to sign a piece of paper outside Wellow Golf Club in Rye Lane.

The suspect then grabbed the man's wrist to thank him and he noticed his Rolex watch was missing from his wrist.

The first suspect is described as a woman around 40-years-old, approximately 5ft 2ins tall, with dark hair. She spoke with an Eastern European accent.

The second is believed to be a woman around 20-years-old, approximately 5ft 3ins tall, with dark shoulder-length hair. She spoke with an Eastern European accent.

Investigating officers believe the two reports are linked, Hampshire police confirmed.

There were also similar incidents reported in Eastleigh, Yateley, Basingstoke, and Hook.

A force spokesperson is now urging Test Valley residents to be on their guard following the thefts.
