A HAMPSHIRE MP has launched her Volunteers Week campaign across her social media platforms.
The campaign run by Caroline Dinenage, MP for Gosport, will see volunteers and voluntary organisations taking over her social media platforms to talk about their experiences.
The campaign started on June 1 with Gary from The Centre talking about the work they are doing to help those in our community.
Gary who volunteers for The Centre will be joined across the week by more volunteers from Gosport Voluntary Action, the Scouts, Acts of Kindness and more.
Caroline said: “Volunteers are so important to the work of charities and organisations – they have an invaluable presence in communities across the UK, helping out in places from hospitals to sports clubs.
“We have such a strong body of volunteers in Gosport, Stubbington, Lee-on-the-Solent and Hill Head who give up so much of their time to help other people in our area and give back to our local community. I am extremely proud of their inspirational dedication.”
