POLICE are investigating poaching offences after a vehicle was seized on private land in Test Valley.

The force rushed to The Middleway, Longparish, following reports of a vehicle driving on private land around 9.46pm on Thursday, May 27.

Officers stopped the vehicle, searched it and seized the vehicle, along with its contents, because it was untaxed.

Hampshire Constabulary has now launched an investigation into poaching offences against a number of people, a spokesperson confirmed.

No arrests have been made at this stage and part of the land, including crops, have been damaged, according to the landowner.

A spokesperson from the force said: "Anyone with information about this incident can call 101 quoting 44210206684.

“If you see poaching offences taking place, call 999 and quote Operation Thornley."
