A TEENAGE girl has been left "shaken and distressed" after a man reportedly made sexual comments towards her in broad daylight in a Test Valley town.

The 16-year-old was sat at a picnic bench in a wooded area behind The Folly pub in Charlton Road, Andover, when she was approached by an unknown man at 3.25pm on Thursday (June 3).

He started talking to her and is believed to have said sexual comments to the victim, according to a Facebook post from Test Valley Cops.

The girl then left the area and told her parents about the incident, who reported it to Hampshire police.

Now the force is on the hunt for the suspect after the teenager was left "shaken and distressed" by the public order incident, the social media post reads.

The man is described as white, of skinny build, in his late 20s to early 30s and 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a black face mask and was carrying a CEX drawstring carrier bag.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or used the public footpath which runs behind The Folly.
