CHEEKY Hampshire residents looking to let loose whilst sunbathing will not have to travel far this summer.

The south coast is home to tons popular sandy stretches but some of the lesser-known spots are known for stripping off.

Naturists from far and wide travel to Hampshire in search of the popular spots listed on  the British Naturism website.

The site lists dozens of nudist beaches across the country including four in the Hampshire.

In fact, according to new research by Hoo, Lymington’s Taddiford Gap is the most expensive area for nudist to visit in the UK.

On average, a hotel room close to this nudist beach comes in at £181 per night, 148 per cent higher than the national average.

Here are four naturist beaches you can visit in Hampshire- if you are brave enough.

Taddiford Gap

This beach in Lymington got a shining review from one visitor on Tripadvisor. They Wrote: “Lovely location but a bit of a hike to get there. We walked to the right as you face the sea and there was masses of room, no worries about catching a virus, no one within 50m. It then became clear that it was all naturists who use this area of the beach. We stripped off and it was lovely to be nude all day. All in all a good day, lovely weather, safe water for swimming, great views and no problem with social distancing.”

Eastney Beach

One of the most popular spots is this Portsmouth based beach gaining a 4.2 star rating on google from 277 happy naked visitors.

One five star review said: “On a bright summer's day, this end of the beach is much quieter. Lovely views, lots of tan naked bodies and gorgeous views of the Solent. Remember it's a liberal section of the seafront, yet still plenty of families frequent it.”

Another visitor added: “Great place to get your kit off in the sunshine.”
Meon Shore

Meon Shore is a lengthy stretch of shingle beach running along the Solent near Tichfield Haven Nature Reserve.

The western end of the beach has also long been known as a naturist spot and one visitor left a review on walkingclub.org saying: “We make two or three visits here per year. There are never more than half a dozen others here, mainly single men, with a few couples. There is a footpath above the beach, along the top of the cliffs. Though it is generally behind bushes, where there are gaps, the beach is overlooked and gawpers can be occasionally be a pain."

Calshot Beach

Whilst the British Naturist website recommends this place, it should be noted that the Beachguide website state the owners of the beach “very much frown upon this and have threatened to take legal action” against anyone going the full monty.
