THE construction of a new housing development in Romsey is said to be progressing well.
Nearly a quarter of the homes have now been built and almost half sold at Bellway Wessex' new Meadow View Site off Cupernham Lane.
As part of the scheme, 44 three and four-bedroom private homes are being delivered, as well as 29 affordable properties available through rent or shared ownership.
A total of 20 homes have now been sold at the development and nine have been occupied, while building work on the remaining homes is continuing with Bellway expecting to complete all construction by the end of this year.
Sales Director for Bellway Wessex, Kim Caldwell, said: “As construction work continues to progress well at Meadow View, we are edging ever closer to forging a new community here in Romsey.
“The first residents are now settled into their homes and we remain on schedule to have all buyers moved in by the end of the year. There is a particular demand for four-bedroom properties at Meadow View from families who are relocating into the area, wanting bigger homes in a more exclusive development.
“We are expecting the homes at the development to be snapped up swiftly, so we would recommend buyers get in touch soon.”
The housebuilder has opened a four-bedroom Goldsmith showhome to view by appointment only.
