THUNDERSTORMS have been predicted for parts of Hampshire following this scotching heatwave.

The Met Office has said that residents could experience thunderstorms on Sunday and Monday, July 25 and 26.

The forecast for Sunday predicts thunderstorms at around 10am with a temperature of 18C.

More storms are expected to follow at around 4pm. Rain is predicted to start at 7am and end at 7pm.

On Monday, the county could see highs of 21C, but clouds and rain is predicted for most of the day.

Thunderstorms are expected to hit at around 1pm, followed bu light rain until 7pm.
