SIR: My mother has asked me to write, and let the people of Romsey know that the staff of “Caught”, the fish and chip shop close to the Abbey are such good and caring people.

For a very long time now - since 2012 to my knowledge – they have been supplying fish and chips, or whatever else people choose off of their menu, on a Friday lunchtime to Homemead House in Middlebridge Street. The elderly who live there, and who choose to make use of this service, are truly grateful for this hot meal delivered to their door.

My mother collects the orders and cash from the residents, and rings it through. The food is delivered to Homemead House, in individually named boxes, ready for distribution.

Damien and his team are always so polite, cheerful and helpful. They deliver whatever the weather and when Middlebridge Street was recently closed to traffic, Damien even walked down with the bags of food to deliver them.

The food they supply is of very high quality, with lovely white cod at a good price.

So, a big thank you to Damien, Adam and all at “Caught”!
